- Improvements to the already outstanding mic preamps : The SSL 2/2+ MK II retain the best-in-class low-noise mic preamps (-130.5 dBu EIN), but additional enhancements boost performance even further with improved gain range (64 dB vs. 62 dB for the first generation), dynamic range (116.5 dB vs. 110.5 dB for the first generation) and maximum input level (+9.7 dB vs. 5.5 dB for the first generation).

- New-generation conversion: The SSL 2/2+ MK II is now equipped with new-generation, high-performance 32-bit / 192 kHz converters (as on the SSL 12). Enjoy unrivalled audio fidelity and detail in your recordings.

- Significant improvement in balanced output performance - thanks to the new converters, the balanced outputs reach a dynamic range of 120 dB (compared with 112 dB for the first generation) - true studio-quality monitoring for your loudspeakers.

- The headphone outputs have been redesigned and now offer an incredible 119.5 dB dynamic range (111 dB on the first generation), allowing you to make informed decisions when mixing with headphones.

- Switchable high-pass filter: Both input channels feature a switchable high-pass filter, allowing you to eliminate unwanted bass at the source.

- SSL 2+ MK II Balanced outputs 3-4: Enjoy the flexibility of 4 balanced outputs on 6.35 mm jacks, an improvement over the unbalanced RCA outputs on outputs 3 and 4. This guarantees greater compatibility with professional equipment.

-Front-panel headphone outputs: For greater ease of use, the MK II interface's headphone outputs have been moved to the front panel. Gone are the days when you had to hide behind your device to plug in your headphones.

o SSL 2 MK II now features 2 headphone outputs (shared mix), making it easier to collaborate with other users.
o SSL 2+ MK II retains its 2 independent headphone outputs (capable of providing different mixes) but now includes the option of whether or not to respect the Monitor Mix control when set to 3&4.

- Convenient DI inputs: Instrument (DI) inputs (with automatic DI input detection) are now located on the front of the unit, making it easy to plug in your instruments and record immediately.
