There's no need to introduce the timeless silhouette that inspired the design of the MM300: the characteristic double notch guarantees excellent access to the last compartments, combined with a powerful humbucker pickup and its egg-shaped protective plate. This classic configuration has been adopted by Italian manufacturer Eko to make the MM300 an attractive electric bass, ergonomic with its contained weight and welcoming curves, and above all high-performance for novice bassists.
Quality luthiery.
Despite its most affordable price, the MM300's luthiery has received the utmost attention to offer bassists new to the instrument an attractive and very well finished bass. The body, crafted from poplar for strength, is highlighted by a gloss varnish. The sturdy, comfortable 4-point screwed maple neck is topped by an Eko resin WPC (Wood Polymers Composites) fingerboard that brings stability and warmth to the maple snap.
Powerful, precise electronics.
On the electronics side, the MM300 is equipped with a double-coil humbucker pickup featuring a higher output level than usual single-coil pickups. The sound produced by this pickup is very precise, powerful and round, both in clear tones and with distortion. To extend the sonic possibilities, the bass features two volumes and a general tone control for adjusting the brightness of the timbre. The bridge/cordial block incorporates independently adjustable bridges to fine-tune the action and harmonics of each string and ensure effective sustain.
