Japanese craftsmanship.
JICO, an acronym for Nippon Precision Jewel Industry Co. LTD, is a Japanese manufacturer whose name is well known to afficionados of high quality cells and diamonds for both audiophile and DJ turntables. This family business based in the Hamasaka region of the Land of the Rising Sun, whose origins date back to 1873, began its history with the manufacture of sewing needles, a precision activity that already foreshadowed its future! Manufacturing diamonds and cantilevers since 1966, which made its reputation, the brand has continued to innovate while maintaining traditional manufacturing techniques, and now offers its own cell holders, cells and diamonds for the happiness of all vinyl lovers.
The perfect replacement for the legendary Shure N44-7.
The Shure N44-7 has earned its credentials with audiophiles and DJs worldwide, thanks to that powerful bass and smooth, balanced sound that is so characteristic. The JICO-developed N44-7 Aurora gives you those same legendary characteristics, thanks to a Type S tubular aluminum alloy cantilever, precision-worked to closely approximate the original Shure cantilevers, while offering an optimal 7° angle of attack.
JICO prioritized the use of a full spherical ("naked") diamond for this stylus, with the tip cut from a single piece of diamond. More expensive and qualitative than glued tips, this naked diamond is lighter and offers a much better tracking of the groove of your vinyl, as well as a more efficient transmission of oscillations for a much richer sound.
A pen thought above all for the DJ.
This N44-7 Aurora pen offered by JICO, which reproduces sounds similar to authentic Shure pens, benefits from improvements made by the brand to best meet the needs of DJs. The recommended contact force has been increased from a maximum of 3g for the Shure model to 4.5g for this JICO model to ensure better groove tracking for the most demanding turntablism sessions. The angle of attack has been upgraded from 10° for the Shure diamond to 7° on this JICO version for even more faithful playback quality. And to protect the diamond in all circumstances, this model benefits from a protective flap that folds down over the pen to prevent harmful friction.
No more staying in the shadows with the Aurora version!
Innovative from JICO, this Aurora version of the N44-7 features a special resin pen body made of 100% Lumi Nova glow-in-the-dark pigments, whose performance does not degrade over time! These glow-in-the-dark pens will both be an invaluable aid in quickly locating the position of your pickup in dark environments, and will definitely set you apart from all other DJs.
