Powered by Allen & Heath's revolutionary 96kHz XCVI FPGA engine developed for its high-end dLive systems, the latest generation of SQ digital consoles have been engineered to excel in the most complex situations. They deliver high-resolution 96kHz sound over 48 inputs and 36 outputs, while offering ultra-low latency of less than 0.7ms, making them perfect for broadcast and AV applications.
The 12 stereo mixes - configurable as groups or auxes - make the SQ the perfect companion for personal monitoring setups, while the Automatic Microphone Mixer (AMM) takes over in multi-mic environments.
Featuring an I/O port capable of accepting DANTE or WAVES cards and cross-compatible with dLive systems, the SQ inherits dLive's renowned DEEP plugins, RackExtra effects library and 8 stereo effects engines with dedicated returns.
Powerful and intuitive, the SQ consoles have all the tools to meet any requirement, from AV to corporate events and live productions.
96 kHz XCVI Processor
The SQ is a next-generation console series powered by Allen & Heath's 96 kHz FPGA "XCVI" processor. This processor delivers high-resolution sound with unparalleled accuracy and ultra-low noise, with latency of less than 0.7 ms. Capable of handling an impressive number of channels and mixes, with DEEP effects and plugins, the SQs ensure mix consistency at the highest level.
Expandable to 48 mic inputs
The SQs have all the necessary inputs and outputs for stand-alone operation. Thanks to its intelligent SLink port, the SQs can also be expanded to a total of 48 mic inputs via the family of 48 kHz (AR2412, AR84 & AB168) and 96 kHz (DX168) digital stageboxes and expanders, making it a flexible and combinable solution for users of other Allen & Heath digital systems. It is also possible to connect an SQ directly to another SQ, or even to a dLive system.
DEEP Ready plugins
The DEEP plugin processing architecture allows users to precisely select boutique compressors and preamp emulations to suit their style and needs. DEEP plugins can be integrated directly into the console's input and mix channels, without adding latency or configuration issues.
An unparalleled mixing experience
With each new design, the Allen & Heath team strives to get closer to the ultimate mixing experience. The SQ's dashboard is centred around a high-resolution 7" capacitive touchscreen, framed by a set of high-grip illuminated rotary controls to create a combination of visual feedback and intuitive, integrated manual controls. Input channels and mixes can be dragged and dropped onto any of the slice screens, with customisable naming and colouring allowing you to completely create a mixing environment that perfectly reflects how you work.
Each slice has a colour bar graph giving an at-a-glance indication of the level, with variable brightness and colour LEDs. The SQs also feature user buttons (8 for the SQ-5 / 16 + 4 rotary with dedicated LCD screens for the SQ-6) that can be assigned key functions at your fingertips, as well as a "Channel to all" mix button for instant access to all sends of a selected channel.
The ultimate system for in-ear monitoring.
With no less than 12 stereo mixes, ultra-low latency, and parametric and graphic EQ on each mix, the SQ is the perfect companion for personal monitor setups. Very compact, the SQs are easy to transport, even by air, and very robust.
Dante, Waves and more
The SQ is the centerpiece of an ever-expanding ecosystem of applications, expanders, audio cards and personal mixers that connect, adapt and extend the system's capabilities to your business. SQs are compatible with standard digital audio formats: simply add a dedicated Dante or Waves digital audio card to the SQ's I/O port to integrate directly with existing systems, provide a digital split between the front of house and monitors, and more.
Flexible multitrack recording
The built-in SQ-Drive system makes it easy to make a stereo or multitrack recording of a live performance directly to a USB stick or external hard drive. No software is required, no sound card driver issues and no need to worry about the sound card.
