SOUND CREATION

Timbre Section

The Nord Drum 3P's timbre section offers 3 synthesis modes, each with its own distinctive character.

Subtractive mode offers the classic basic sine, sawtooth, square, and rectangular waves, and excels at creating synthetic drum sounds and classic effects with a dynamic response filter.

Resonant synthesis mode offers a wide range of complex spectra inspired by materials such as drum heads, marimba, vibraphone, tines, and cymbals. Unique feature: the ability to tune the harmonic spectrum.

The FM synthesis mode features 6 FM algorithms in which the timbre controls the modulation amount and the spectrum controls its frequency. The spectrum can also be controlled dynamically.

Noise section

The noise section allows you to add texture to your sound.

It includes 3 types of filters, low-pass, high-pass and band-pass, with adjustable resonance and cutoff frequency as well as dynamic control of the effective filter. The noise decay can be truncated, exponential or linear.

Click section

The click section specializes in ultra-short sound attacks. A wide range of clicks are available as well as a level control to find the right setting through which the click merges with the other elements to form one coherent sound.

Distortion and EQ

The Distort parameter allows you to harden your sounds with a sample rate reduction Crush effect, non-linear distortion or ring modulation. Each channel also has a dedicated EQ with gain and Q adjustment.

Connection flexibility

The Nord Drum 3P benefits from super responsive pads but can also be triggered via Midi and has a dedicated input for a pad or kick drum trigger.

New Factory Bank

The new factory bank includes 10 categories of pre-programmed sounds that can easily be assigned to any of the 6 pads/channels. A great base during rehearsals when you need to find the right sounds in seconds. Categories include: bass drums, snare drums, toms, percussion, bells, melodic percussion, effects, cymbals, hi-hats and hand claps.

Delay and reverb effects

The excellent sound quality of the stereo delay and reverb effects allows you to bring a new dimension to your drum sounds. The intensity of the effect is easily adjusted for each drum channel.
