Drums

A dual-zone snare drum with independent skin-triggered sounds (rim click and rim shot), accompanied by 8"/8"/10" dual-zone toms and an 8" bass drum pad provide a comfortable playing surface, compatible with all varieties of single and double pedals. Mesh skin tension can be adjusted to your preference for optimum bounce and expressiveness. Unwanted "hotspots" on the skins are eliminated thanks to our patented anti-hotspot sensor design.

New ARC cymbals

Strata Core's ARC cymbals are extremely sensitive with a finely chiseled surface. The three cymbals - the 14" ride and the two 12" crashes - are triple-zone, with different sounds triggered on the bell, cymbal and rim of each cymbal. They are 360-degree responsive, allowing them to be played across their entire surface, and they fit on standard acoustic cymbal arms, allowing them to move and react in a natural way. All cymbals feature dual-edge sensors (patent pending) and offer incredible expressiveness without the need to adjust your technique.

The Hi-hat

The 12" Hi-hat is the world's first controller mounted on an active magnetic stand. Like the cymbals, it features an extremely sensitive 360° triple-zone playing surface. Magnetic position detection ensures that pedal movements are translated with extraordinarily high resolution; meaning the non-contact controller is unrivalled in its accuracy. Its active technology is powered directly from the PRIME module; no additional power adapter is required. This hi-hat can be played with a wide variety of hi-hat stands. In short, it's a hi-hat extremely close to an acoustic model with incredible sensitivity and feel!

Hardware

The Strata Core's curved steel rack forms the main structure on which the toms, cymbals and module are mounted. Sturdy yet flexible, it allows the configuration to be adapted to the ideal playing position. ARC cymbals can be mounted on any pole, and the 8" bass drum pad can accommodate a single or double pedal. Crash and ride cymbals can be mounted on standard acoustic cymbal stands, without being restricted by rack brackets.

The BFD sound engine is powered by a multi-core processor, with a library of first-class drum sounds. The Strata Core comes with four sound libraries:

- BFD Dark Farm - an acoustic rock extension of the BFD band
- Alesis Core Electronic - a selection of the best electronic sounds from the Alesis Strike Multipad
- BFD Percussion - a diverse collection of percussion sounds
