The timeless silhouette that inspired the design of the VPB100 needs no introduction: the characteristic double cutaway that guarantees excellent access to the last few frets, combined with a single pickup and a 4-bridge bridge/cordier block, represent a visual signature that is more than recognizable. This classic configuration has been taken up by Italian manufacturer Eko to make the VPB100 an attractive electric bass, ergonomic with its contained weight and welcoming curves, and above all very versatile for beginning bassists.

Quality luthiery.

Despite its most affordable price point, the VPB100's luthiery has received the utmost attention in order to offer bassists new to the instrument an attractive and very well finished bass. The body, made from alder to offer a good robustness, is highlighted by a glossy varnish. The sturdy and comfortable 4-point screw-in maple neck is topped with a WPC (Wood Polymers Composites) Eko resin fingerboard bringing stability and warmth to the maple snap.

A versatile setup.

On the electronics side, the VPB100 is equipped with a single-coil P-type pickup, much appreciated for its versatility. Very comfortable on clean, warm sounds, it can also be very biting and percussive when combined with a powerful distortion. To expand the sound possibilities, a general tone allows to adjust the tone more or less bright. The bridge/cordial block incorporates independently adjustable bridges to best adjust the action and harmonics of each string and ensure effective sustain.
