The timeless silhouette that inspired the VPB100's design needs no introduction: the characteristic double notch for excellent access to the last fret, combined with a single pickup and a 4-bridge bridge/cordier block, represent a visual signature that's more than recognizable. This classic configuration has been taken up by Italian manufacturer Eko to make the VPB100 an attractive electric bass, ergonomic with its contained weight and welcoming curves, and above all highly versatile for beginning bassists.

Quality luthiery.

Despite its most affordable price, the VPB100's luthiery has benefited from the utmost attention in order to offer bassists new to the instrument an attractive and very well finished bass. The body, made from alder for strength, is highlighted by a high-gloss varnish. The sturdy, comfortable 4-point screwed maple neck is topped by an Eko resin WPC (Wood Polymers Composites) fingerboard, bringing stability and warmth to the maple snap.

A versatile configuration.

On the electronics side, the VPB100 is equipped with a single-coil P-type pickup, much appreciated for its versatility. Very much at home on warm, clear sounds, it can also be very biting and percussive when combined with powerful distortion. To extend the range of sound possibilities, a general tone control allows you to adjust the brightness of the timbre. The bridge/cordial block incorporates independently adjustable bridges to fine-tune the action and harmonics of each string and ensure effective sustain.
