SMA WPSGRIDT-W
MLA technology provides an unparalleled level of control over the broadcast system:
Adjustable SPL distribution between the first and last rows, tonal balance homogenization, backwave reduction, possible avoidance zone(s) in the room.
Requiring a large number of processed amplifier channels, its cost remains high.

The Wavefront Precision range becomes a bridge between conventional source line technology and total MLA optimization.
The use of external multichannel processed amplifiers allows to choose the degree of optimization that can be provided to the system:
Without optimization (conventional source line) up to optimization close to MLA, all in a modular way and therefore progressive technically and budgetarily.
To do this, we have a new multichannel amplification platform processed by channel with linear filters in phase: the Ikon series available in 4 and 8 channels. Controlled in network by the Vu-Net application, the amps, depending on their number, besides the classic band filtering parameters and protection limitations, will also receive the optimization preset previously elaborated by the Display application.
As a reminder, the Display software allows in turn to precalculate the angles of the speaker line, and then to calculate a custom processing preset based on the desired coverage geometry and the selected optimization criteria:
SPL template, tonal template, avoidance zone(s), rear wave reduction.
These advanced processing options will be more or less attainable depending on the processing resolution available.
Basically, if the minimum number of amps is used, a more restricted optimization possibility will be obtained, comparable to that of a classic source line, with still a slightly more advanced processing zoning.
This system is the basic inveiglement, competitive entry point to the system.
Subsequently, adding processed amplifier channels to this same speaker system will increase the granularity of processing to approach the optimization that the MLA can provide.
The technical and budgetary modularity of the system is therefore total and it is conceivable for a rental provider to offer its customer different degrees of performance for different implementations and therefore different realization budgets.
The WPS, the latest format in the WP series is the ideal 8-inch source line module, with an unparalleled component density. Indeed no less than 10 concentrically distributed drivers intelligently coexist in an elitist cabinet design. The bass section is a 2 x 8 inch bass reflex with a compression load volume that aims to increase the efficiency. The propagation of the front wave is carried out through the ports whose left-right spacing favors the control of the directivity of the 'high-woofer'. The midrange consists of four 4" drivers distributed around the treble section with specially shaped vents through the treble waveguide. 4 1-inch drivers for the treble section fitted with a constant path waveguide form the perfect center ribbon, with the use of 1-inch formats reducing the rate of distortion in the treble compared to competing designs.
