The Seymour Duncan SJB-1 Jazz Bass pickup is a faithful recreation of the simple coils of the early 60's, an ideal replacement for any American or non-American Jazz Bass to get an authentic sound. Set of two neck and bridge pickups with black covers.
When the Jazz Bass was born, the music world was once again marked by fantastic new sonic options for a growing community of electric bassists. These pickups are the perfect reproduction of the single coils for Jazz Bass from the early 1960s. The Seymour Duncan Vintage Jazz Bass pickups are true to the originals in capturing that warm grain with just the right amount of midrange.
The neck pickup is full and provides beautiful, full bass without lacking precision and attack. It is wired RWRP (reverse coil and polarity) to act as a humbucker when engaged with the bridge position. As for the bridge pickup, it's punchy but smooth at the same time and brings a brightness that balances perfectly with the neck pickup.
Since 1978, Seymour Duncan has been producing all of his replicas of vintage Fender pickups by hand using the most faithful techniques and materials to the golden age: plate, cables, coils, magnets. Both of these pickups come with black caps with no logo.
