PSA 12312BCLE
Before HHXs, dark cymbals lacked edge. The unique combination of a high profile, wide raw bell and XXL hammering allows the HHX's complex, dark tones to bite hard whatever the musical context.

The 23" HH Billy Cobham Spectral ride is a medium-heavy ride cymbal, with a low profile, clear definition and a balanced sound distribution that doesn't dominate the whole. Completely turned on top and bottom, this instrument has a wide, powerful and present bell, with a sound reminiscent of Cobham's trademark, heard on albums such as his iconic Spectrum released in 1973.
The Spectral ride is ideal for jazz, fusion, funk and progressive music as well as rock, metal and standard pop styles. The cymbal is inspired by Cobham's affinity for the 22" HH Medium Ride and 22" HH Rock Ride. Using these models as a working base, SABIAN's R&D team was able to develop a series of prototypes to match the new 23" design, adding more presence, precision in attack and controlled sound diffusion, working closely with Cobham to create an instrument without limitations.
Produced in only 250 examples, each 23" HH Billy Cobham Spectral Ride is numbered and accompanied by a hand-signed certificate of authenticity.
