The new Scarlett OctoPre Dynamic, a replacement for the current OctoPre MkII, is designed to easily add new channels to Scarlett interfaces or other devices with Adat I/O, including consoles and other recorders.

The Scarlett OctoPre Dynamic offers 8 channels with 2nd generation Scarlett mic preamps, with the clarity of Focusrite conversion, up to 192 kHz. An 8-channel line-level NA conversion is also present, thanks to 2 Adat in ports.

The 2nd generation Scarlett preamps are designed to support high output instruments. The Scarlett OctoPre Dynamic is perfect for drummers wanting to record themselves, but also for sound engineers wanting to record entire musical ensembles. The OctoPre Dynamic fits perfectly into a fixed setup thanks to the ability to leave the connections permanently.

The Scarlett OctoPre Dynamic's mic preamps have a control system to keep the levels under control. The analog compressor has 2 functions: the basic setting which is transparent and effectively controls the dynamics, without altering the signal. By pressing the More button, the compression ratio is doubled to achieve compression with effect.
