A natural authority.
The Vox AC30C2 amp packs 3 12AX7 and 4 EL84 preamp tubes for 30 W of power. It features two 12-inch Celestion G12M Greenback loudspeakers and offers the possibility of connecting an additional baffle thanks to a switchable output in 8 and 16 ohms. This shunts the internal speakers. The second speaker extension output, meanwhile, allows an additional 16-ohm speaker to be operated in conjunction with the internal copies, for richer sound and maximum diffusion.
Sound, always sound, always sound.
The AC30C2 is a two-channel combo: Normal and Top-Boost. Each channel is equipped with a dedicated volume control, while the Top-Boost channel features expressive Treble and Bass settings to match. Very frugal, all in all, but that's the soul of this amp.
Nothing but sound!
The two channels of this Vox Custom rely on the Master section's Tone Cut and Volume controls. Tone Cut acts on the power stage rather than the preamp, allowing a more global sculpting of the amp's character. Master Volume works in conjunction with the individual volumes of each channel. With the right dosage, there's already plenty to do and achieve a wide sonic palette ranging from typical Vox clean tones to powerful saturations.
To small cause, great effects.
The Vox AC30C2 is recognizable, among other things, by its tremolo whose speed and depth are adjustable. In the effects register, a spring reverb is also present. To perfect the integration of effects, the AC30C2 offers an additional tone control in the reverb section. But the big attraction is the ability, with the optional Vox footswich, to footswitch these two effects. Add to this a true bypass effects loop, and you've got a timeless classic.
