Like Broadway panels, Paintables are fully ‘encapsulated’ in a fiberglass weave with a resin-hardened cast to create crisp, solid edges and rock-solid integrity. Rather than wrapping the panels in fabric, the face and edges are coated with a textured latex finish that is both porous and air-permeable. This balanced formulation allows the panels to be spray-painted or screen-printed without affecting their acoustic performance. This means the user can decide on the final color without having to compromise on color choices. The acoustic engineer or architect therefore has free choice of the final color, streamlining the decision-making process at installation.
Paintables come in a neutral white finish and are available in a variety of sizes, making them perfectly suited for large-scale installations, small studios, and all types of public venues. Paintables panels have also achieved the B-s2 d0 fire rating (French M1 classification) in accordance with European fire test standards EN 13501-1 and EN ISO 11925-2.
