FOCUSRITE PRO REDNET-2 RedNet - 16-Channel AD/DA Converter
RedNet is Focusrite’s flagship range of modular Ethernet audio interfaces. It harnesses the power of Audinate’s Dante digital audio protocol to deliver studio-quality sound for all modern audio applications.
The interfaces in the RedNet range are designed to meet the needs of a wide variety of audio applications—from live sound to multi-room recording studios, houses of worship, distributed audio installations, post-production environments, and everything in between. Fundamentally, RedNet is a highly scalable audio distribution system that offers near-zero latency and can be used to expand the number of inputs and outputs of digital audio systems and/or serve as a bridge between Pro Tools|HD, the MADI protocol, and the Dante audio network. Incorporating Focusrite’s most advanced A-D/D-A conversion to date, an ultra-stable JetPLL clock, and premium multilayer PCBs, RedNet is true to Focusrite’s philosophy: Sound is everything. Designed and built with meticulous attention to detail, RedNet interfaces stand a cut above the competition, delivering exceptional transparency and some of the best sound quality to date—combined with the groundbreaking capabilities of networked audio systems.
Child’s play.
In addition to connecting to a Dante audio-over-IP network with a single Ethernet cable, RedNet 2 can be remotely controlled and installed anywhere in your infrastructure. The culmination of several years of research, its precision conversion delivers superb, natural audio. Dynamic range exceeds 119 dB at sample rates up to 192 kHz. In short, this is serious stuff…
Simple and funky.
RedNet 2 can be used to convert 16 audio channels and also route those signals to any destination on the network with negligible latency. The DB25 connectors, conforming to the AES59 standard, are ideal for interfacing with a patchbay or arranging the I/O in multipairs to feed external hardware or analog mixing consoles.
Even more flexibility.
The RedNet Control 2 software enables configuration and remote control of RedNet interfaces via a powerful user interface. Similar to a web browser, it can manage up to 600 devices across the entire network. More than enough…
