Description
RedNet interfaces have been designed to meet the needs of a wide range of audio applications—from live sound to multi-booth recording studios, houses of worship, distributed audio installations, post-production environments, and everything in between. Fundamentally, RedNet is a highly scalable audio distribution system that offers near-zero latency and can be used to expand the number of inputs and outputs of digital audio systems and/or to serve as a bridge between Pro Tools|HD, the MADI protocol, and the Dante audio network. Incorporating Focusrite’s most advanced AD/DA conversion to date, an ultra-stable JetPLL clock, and premium multilayer PCBs, RedNet is fully aligned with Focusrite’s philosophy: Sound is everything. Designed and manufactured with meticulous attention to detail, RedNet interfaces stand a step above the competition, offering exceptional transparency and some of the best sound quality to date—combined with the groundbreaking capabilities of networked audio systems.
**The preamp, the soul of Focusrite.**
RedNet 4 is an eight-channel preamp designed for
professional recording. With a -20 dB pad, polarity
inversion, and two impedance settings per channel, it is ideal for high-performance recording that is highly respectful of the source. Its low
noise and extremely consistent, distortion-free response across the entire gain range
make RedNet 4 a rock of fidelity.
**Networked remote control.**
Audio over IP opens up new possibilities and
use cases are multiplying. RedNet 4 can serve in studios, in post-production,
and also in large facilities. Focusrite provides the ability to
control and reroute signals easily via a simple software control panel. The gain of the eight preamps is also remotely
controllable. The location of RedNet 4 matters little since it is integrated into a Dante
network: any computer can access it.
