EKO RANGERVR12-EQ-HB Ranger VR XII - Acoustic-Electric 12-String Dreadnought, Honey Burst
Once upon a time in eastern Italy.
The Ranger XII is clearly one of those guitars with a unique reputation, whose iconic lines every guitarist has glimpsed at some point. This true legend was born in the 1960s in Eko’s workshops in Italy, where it was first called the J-52, then the J-54, before becoming the Ranger we all know.
A reliable, retro 12-string electro-acoustic for every budget.
The Ranger Vintage Reissue is a modern reissue of this folk guitar in Dreadnought, also known as Western, format, with a large, deep body that delivers generous bass, powerful mids, and pleasant highs. The spruce top, which brings precision and clarity, is paired with sapele mahogany back and sides, offering good sustain and excellent robustness. The bolt-on mahogany neck, with its low-profile C shape, provides excellent playing comfort for all hands and features a dual-action truss rod, allowing action adjustments tailored to your needs. The aluminum nut, its zero fret, as well as the adjustable bridge saddle further help you find your ideal playing comfort and play your notes accurately and with inspiration. Its simple and effective Fishman Sonitone GP1 preamp system lets you amplify your playing with confidence.
And for a few guitars more.
The Ranger is probably one of the most widely offered models in Eko’s acoustic guitar catalog, notably with its Vintage Reissue (VR) series. Available in two different finishes, Vintage Natural and Honey Burst, they also come in 6-string versions, acoustic or electro-acoustic (EQ).
In short, the Ranger VR is a reliable, robust, and powerful western-format folk guitar accessible to every budget. It’s perfect for beginners looking to enter the world of guitar, or for any seasoned guitarist seeking a rugged, efficient instrument with a very elegant retro look.
