Description
The slight roll-off at each end of the frequency spectrum and the very slight phase shift created by the 1:1 transformer characterize this mic preamp, whose sound is so smooth you can use it on any source.
The 32CPRE+ delivers +20 to +70 dB of gain, making it suitable for all types of microphones, including ribbon mics. In addition to a 180° phase invert switch, 48 V phantom power, a -20 dB input pad, and a high-impedance instrument switch, the front panel is equipped with a combo jack/XLR input that lets you plug a microphone or instrument directly into the 32CPRE+ without having to access the rear panel of your 500-series rack.
A Harrison mic preamp wouldn’t be complete without its legendary filters. As found in the original 3232 console and the latest 32Classic console, the filters have a very musical 12 dB/octave slope. Its high-pass filter features a characteristic 3 dB resonance peak. The high-pass filter range is 25 Hz to 3.1 kHz, and the low-pass filter range is 160 Hz to 20 kHz.
