Description
Its power and advanced technical capabilities place the dLive S Class at a first-rate level of excellence, making it a system suited to the most complex and mission-critical applications.
Immediate hands-on control
Where many digital systems merely replicate the workflow of an analog console, dLive changes the game with a truly digital design that draws on the intuitive technologies we use every day, such as tablets and smartphones. The 12" touchscreens on dLive Surfaces feel instantly familiar and respond precisely to your every gesture. The screen’s widget areas can be configured to keep an eye on scenes, levels, effects, or any other custom control. The screen is surrounded by a set of rotary encoders, each with a dedicated function, interacting directly with the touchscreen for maximum control. These encoders were the subject of extensive research for optimal precision and feel, and feature colored LEDs matched to the colors displayed on the touchscreen for instant visual orientation.
XCVI Audio Core
Based on the latest generation of FPGA technology, the XCVI Audio engine delivers colossal processing power with 160 input channels mixable to 64 buses at 96 kHz. The system supports up to 800 physical inputs/outputs.
96-bit bus summing provides virtually unlimited headroom. Processing latency is compressed to a particularly short 0.58 ms.
DEEP audio plugin technology
DEEP plugins available natively in dLive are drawn from exacting emulations of industry‑standard benchmarks, modeled with proprietary, phase‑coherent techniques and very low latency.
Once again, the XCVI Audio engine allows these DEEP plugins to be inserted on every mix channel and every output bus with no cumbersome licensing and without the need to constantly manage the latency inherent to third‑party processors.
Dyn8
In addition to the wide range of processing available on channels, dLive offers a sophisticated, powerful tool featuring 4 bands of dynamic EQ and 4 bands of multiband compression. With wide-ranging applications—vocals, drums, mastering, mixing, and more—Dyn8 fundamentally changes how we approach dynamic processing. Up to 64 Dyn8 engines are available for insertion on Input and Mix channels and can be auto‑assigned.
A complete, ever‑evolving ecosystem
dLive is far more than a mixing console: it’s a true ecosystem capable of handling up to 800 system inputs and 800 outputs. The MixRack, the true heart of every dLive system, works in harmony with the Surfaces, apps, software, TCP/IP control, and remote IP control, each providing a different way to control the dLive system. Supporting up to five 128‑channel I/O ports for a wide selection of audio networking cards, integrable with the modular DX32 I/O expander, and compatible with the ME personal monitoring system, dLive’s highly flexible modular architecture equips it for any situation.
The IP6 and IP8 network controllers enable remote physical control of the Surface—or even a surface‑less setup using only the power of the MixRack.
dLive Director: online/offline editor
dLive Director is a comprehensive cross‑platform control system for your dLive, allowing you to configure your system offline before a show, check and edit SHOW files, and control live mixing using your laptop or a touchscreen tablet.
With an intuitive, precise interface, the software lets you resize fader banks for use on tablets and touch devices of varying formats.
Compatible with both Mac and Windows, dLive Director delivers a consistent experience on any device so you can focus on the mix rather than the interface.
In offline mode, dLive Director is the ideal companion for any engineer on the move, letting you configure your dLive system, channels, I/O, and surface layers before the show—on the train, on the plane, or at the office.
In online mode, dLive Director adds a second virtual surface to any dLive system, enabling simultaneous remote control of the console. The ability to perform different tasks at the same time means one engineer can run front‑of‑house soundcheck from the Surface while another works on monitor mixes on stage from a tablet.
dLive MixPad: mixing freedom
The dLive MixPad app is the perfect tool for any engineer who wants to mix while staying mobile.
This iPad app lets you walk the venue and control the sound from exactly where you need to be.
The app and the Surface can operate together, offering simultaneous control for independent tasks. For example, one engineer can handle front‑of‑house on the Surface while another mixes monitors near the stage on the iPad.
