Mid and high-frequency information is reproduced with the same analytical precision, thanks to the combination of the brand-new 4-inch DCH midrange driver and the highly refined S-ART folded ribbon tweeter. Paired with the all-new HPS waveguide, the latter ensures high-frequency reproduction with a very wide sweet spot, a fine, detailed soundstage, and a natural sense of depth.
The custom-developed DSP for the S Series optimizes the crossover filters to ensure a linear response across the entire frequency range. It also offers user EQ and acoustic calibration functions. The DSP additionally manages tweeter protection via a limiter, processing of AES3 digital signals, and will eventually be compatible with various expansion options. Software updates can be performed easily via the integrated USB port, which also allows you to connect a computer to control DSP functions via a dedicated software interface.
The S3V’s built-in amplification is generously specified: Class D modules power the bass (500 W RMS) and midrange (300 W RMS) drivers, while a 50 W Class A/B amplifier is dedicated to the S-ART tweeter.
