Description
The RedNet family of interfaces has been designed to meet the needs of a wide range of audio applications-from live sound to multi-cabin recording studios, houses of worship, distributed audio installations, post-production environments, and everything in between. Fundamentally, RedNet is a highly scalable audio distribution system that offers near-zero latency and can be used to expand the number of inputs and outputs of digital audio systems and/or serve as a bridge between Pro Tools|HD, MADI protocol, and the Dante audio network. Featuring Focusrite's most advanced AD/DA conversion to date, an ultra-stable JetPLL clock, and high-end multilayer PCBs, RedNet is no exception to Focusrite's philosophy: Sound is everything. **Deploy your RedNet network with AES3.**
One of the greatest benefits of a RedNet system is the ability to integrate a Dante network of many audio interfaces in different locations via a single Ethernet cable. The RedNet D16R Mk2 simplifies this task by distributing up to 16 channels of digital I/O to AES3-equipped mixing consoles and audio interfaces. The applications are obviously numerous: recording studio, live, broadcast, universities, etc. In short, anywhere where the transit of many audio streams is crucial.
**Asynchronous sampling rate.**
When dozens of audio channels are involved in a network and connectivity to digital systems is facilitated by the diversity of formats, sampling rates become problematic. So the RedNet D16R Mk2 has asynchronous sample rate converters on each input pair. And that's one problem solved for good!
**RedNet Control, a true network remote control.**
Like any Dante-format device, the RedNet D16R Mk2 is intended to integrate a potentially large-scale network. It allows for easy control and rerouting of signals via a simple software control panel. No matter where the unit is located in the mesh, the RedNet Control application provides complete control over each RedNet device.
**Mk2 = individual adjustable channels.**
The Mk2 version of the D16R features individual input and output channel level controls, allowing precise calibration and control of all input and output levels using RedNet Control.
