Description

Comfort and playing-position options

Most Vandoren mouthpieces are available in three different versions: the Traditional mouthpiece, the thinner Profile 88 which offers musicians an alternative embouchure option, and the 13 Profile 88 series, tuned to American pitch (440 Hz).

Ebonite, an optimal material for mouthpiece making.
Manufactured from a blend of natural rubber, sulfur and linseed oil, ebonite is shaped through about ten stages to produce sublime mouthpieces whose more than 90% of the external surface is polished. Only the table remains unpolished to avoid any imprecision that could be caused by excessive polishing.
