The SM86 is a condenser microphone that provides a very defined and accurate sound for vocals. It has an internal three-point suspension that provides good isolation from handling noise and a two-stage pop filter, effective against wind and breath noise. The SM86 is a very good choice for use with Ear Monitors, but also for conference use when looking for a mic that offers both intelligibility and sensitivity.
