Studios today need to be able to work in all environments, for example final playback can occur on headphones, TVs, computers, games, car stereos, etc. Juggling all of these destinations can quickly become problematic for today's digital setup. The Radial MC3 is a device that allows studios to easily accommodate all sorts of situations. It will make it much easier for an engineer to quickly switch from his or her digital audio station and route the output to the monitors, listen through headphones, and be able to switch a subwoofer on or off.Designed for close proximity monitors, the MC3 features a balanced stereo input that can be switched to unbalanced, two stereo outputs for monitors, a TRS auxiliary output, and a dedicated subwoofer output. Each of the two main outputs can be fine-tuned by a trimmer located on top of the enclosure allowing seamless switching between the A/B speakers. The A and B switches allow easy switching between speaker systems. A DIM switch can be activated to temporarily reduce the listening level. TheMASTER allows quick adjustment of the desired output level. The top of the MC3's enclosure is packed with convenient controls that extend the range of action. In addition to the A and B volumes, the DIM (attenuation) has a dedicated potentiometer to set it to your liking. All switching and level controls are passive, ensuring transparency without the need for additional amplifiers - inserted between the recording system and the listener. The MC3 is equipped with a high output headphone amp that provides two simultaneous listening outputs. A mini-jack recall allows for easy connection to headphones. All outputs can be switched to MONO for quick phase checking and radio listening simulation.The MC3 is sure to find its way into the LIVE world, as it inherits the legendary ultra solid construction that the brand is known for. Its steel enclosure is 14 gauge with a unique protection zone to keep the switches and controls out of harm's way. The steel switches and potentiometers offer maximum durability while the 100% discrete circuit topology ensures optimum rendering quality.
