These profiles and sizes have been among the benchmarks in the drumstick world since their inception. Jack Adams [Alan & Ron Vater's grandfather] even hand-turned some of these drumstick profiles at Jack's Drum Shop in Boston in the 1950s and 1960s.

Prior to the 1980s, before the Vater brand was launched, the Vater family found themselves turning these same drumstick models for their biggest customer, which now happens to be one of our direct competitors.

We revisit Vater's history with the launch of the Vater Classics. Six legendary models with all the features and characteristics of yesteryear just as we did in our workshop in the 1980s.
