While working on this new coil with Seymour Duncan, Slash's brief was to keep the same tone, the same clarity... but more dynamics and punch than his APH-2s. So the new Slash 2.0 humbucker set is based on his historic APH-2 signature pickup model but with a more aggressive winding that provides Slash with exactly the sound he likes by pushing his amps well with the perfect balance of volume, drive and compression.
