Seymour Duncan's Nazgûl/Sentient duo is a popular kit for metal, progressive, and djent registers.

Seymour Duncan Nazgûl (Bridge)

Sound: Ultra aggressive with exceptional bass response. Perfect for heavy riffs, complex chords, and punchy palm mutes. Despite its aggressiveness, it remains articulate and precise.

Main feature: Its high output and balanced EQ promote tight lows, pronounced mids and sharp highs.

Ideal for: Low tunings and 7- or 8-string guitars. Even with low strings, it stays clear and doesn't get slobbery.

Playing style: Designed for cutting solos and powerful rhythms, especially in modern metal.

Seymour Duncan Sentient (Channel)

Sound: Warmer and rounder, it offers excellent clarity for leads and a modern vintage character. It's often compared to a mix between a classic PAF and a more modern neck pickup.

Main feature: Able to handle crystalline cleans as well as singing leads with beautiful sustain. Its dynamic range makes it highly versatile.

Ideal for: Smooth solos, detailed arpeggios, and complex clean tones. It will render perfectly in harmonically rich chords.
