SEYMOUR DUNCAN AN3466-RSPD
Antiquity P90 Dog Ear, bridge, black Retrospec'd
Reproduction of the original 1946 pickups with meticulous attention to historical detail in the choice of materials and their assembly. Wide dynamic range and punchy mids; highs snap without piercing your eardrums.
The distinctive midrange character of a 1959 ES-330, captured in the Antiquity P-90, here in the Retro Spec'd version, meaning a new, non-relic'd look.
The Antiquity P-90 Dog Ear pickups use two specially calibrated Alnico 2 magnets, along with position-specific windings for neck and bridge, to deliver the sweet, authentically vintage P-90 character of late-'50s ES-330s.
In the neck position, chords sound rich and full, and single notes are sweet while remaining very clear and responsive to pick attack.
Complementing that, in the bridge position, chords are biting, with a nasal, gritty edge that cuts through the mix, while single notes stay articulate without ever sounding harsh.
Remove the Dog Ear cover and you'll find the same hand-wound coil. The plain enamel magnet wire and flatback tape are identical to those used by the Kalamazoo team back in the day.
