Description
Timeless vintage jazz lines.
The timeless offset silhouette that inspired the JB300 needs no introduction: the characteristic double cutaway ensuring excellent access to the highest frets, paired with two single-coil pickups and a 4-saddle bridge/tailpiece assembly, plus a vintage-style pickguard with an aged look. This classic configuration has been revisited by Italian manufacturer Eko to make the JB300 an attractive, ergonomic electric bass with manageable weight and welcoming contours, and above all highly versatile for beginner bassists.
Quality craftsmanship.
Despite its very accessible price, the JB300’s build has received the utmost attention to offer beginners an attractive, very well-finished bass. The body, made from poplar for solid durability, is enhanced by a glossy finish. The 4-bolt bolt-on maple neck, sturdy and comfortable, is topped with a laurel fingerboard that adds stability and warmth to maple’s snap.
A versatile configuration.
On the electronics side, the JB300 is equipped with two J-style single-coil pickups in the well-known layout, prized for their snap, midrange, and versatility. Equally at home with clear, warm tones, they can also be biting and percussive when paired with heavy distortion. To broaden the tonal palette, an individual volume for each pickup and a master tone let you blend the character of the pickups and adjust the timbre from darker to brighter. The bridge/tailpiece features individually adjustable saddles to fine-tune each string’s action and intonation and ensure effective sustain.
