Description

The CDD coax is also used on XEs, but this time accompanied by a special waveguide that wraps around the speaker and creates a curvature at the front aimed at reducing diffractions on the one hand, and for even more controlled directivity control towards the lower end of the spectrum on the other.

Designed as a complete system with IK42-processed amplifiers for an enhanced and consistent degree of performance worldwide.

The wedge's sound design has been optimized with the help of renowned feedback engineers to provide the ideal tonal balance, i.e. a highly articulate low end and an optimal, highly intelligible high-midrange dosage to override the ambient sound of the most polluted sets without being overly aggressive for all that.

The 12-inch XE300 is switchable bi-amp/passive and the 15-inch XE500 is bi-amp only.

Both models are equipped with folding riser feet located at the rear of the wedge allowing the angle of dispersion to be altered.
