Developed by Singular Sound, they come in two models: BeatBuddy, which offers exceptional sound and highly advanced parameter possibilities, and its alter-ego BeatBuddy Mini 2, which concentrates the essential features of the BeatBuddy in a compact, ready-to-use format. These singular pedals use MIDI files to execute compositions loaded into their memory, from a bank of sounds taken from recordings by professional drummers.
Very versatile, BeatBuddy are aimed at singers, guitarists, bassists and keyboardists alike, who want to benefit from realistic, scalable rhythmic support. These drum machines are also very effective for drummers who want to rely on a metronome with sounds that are much more pleasant than the market standards.
Proposing exclusive and unprecedented functionalities, they have been specially designed for quick learning, like most guitar pedals, and can be connected directly between a guitar and an amplifier. A simple press on the pedal starts or stops a song, inserts a break or launches a transition between two parts of a piece. This unique feature gives musicians total control over the rhythm of the song. Thanks to the proprietary algorithm developed for Beatbuddy, the rhythm is preserved in all circumstances, while the sequences remain fluid and natural. The LCD screen displays essential information and acts as a highly legible and intuitive visual metronome.
For users wishing to create new drum kits with their own sounds and insert new rhythms, the Beatbuddy offers advanced programming features via the Beatbuddy Manager software. Adding or removing parts to songs or breaks, programming the accent that will mark the rhythm with a cymbal stroke or a clap of the hands then becomes possible in just a few clicks!
