Channel A is equipped with a PZB footswitch that increases the sensitivity and load to 10 Mohms to optimize the response for piezoelectric transducers regularly used on the double bass, while channel B acts on the load correction (impedance) to optimize the response of a passive instrument such as a vintage electric bass. Switching between the channels is done using the footswitch and the two channels can be mixed by pressing the blend switch, if a dual mic system is used.The Bassbone OD also features a 1/4" instrument output for driving an amp on stage and a balanced low impedance DI output for a PA system. The XLR output can be assigned pre or post effects depending on the engineer's preferences. A dedicated buffered tuner output works with the MUTE footswitch for silent tuning on stage. For bassists using effects, the 2 input channels can share the same pedals by connecting via the effects loop. All this is complemented by an onboard overdrive section with DRIVE, LEVEL and TONE controls. A wet/dry mix allows you to add a slight Ampeg SVT-like grain or a big distortion if desired. The OD pedal can be assigned to the loop, overdrive or both. Finally, a built-in headphone amp with 3.5mm jack output allows you to use the Bassbone on the bus for long trips between gigs.
