Description

The WMI16-B remote audio input wall unit is used in combination with AUDAC MTX multi-zone audio matrix systems, RM523 & AMP523 units or APG10/APG20 receiver/gateway. It offers the ability to transfer an audio signal from a microphone level source over a long distance using standard CAT5e UTP cable (or better). The audio transfer is done in a differential manner with increasing voltage levels, making the transferred signal insensitive to interference and noise generated by surrounding devices. This allows distances of up to 500 m between the input unit and the receiver. The connection is made via an RJ45 connector on the back of the unit. The depth of the RJ45 connector does not allow the WMI16-B to be installed in surface mount boxes. A jumper on the back of the panel allows 12V phantom power to be activated for condenser microphones. Model black.
