Description

With this in mind, Pearl has developed the new Free-Floating Task Specific snare drums, 14" snare drums with different depths of 3.5" - 5" - 6.5" or 8", each made from different materials to optimize each sound according to the depth of the drum.

As the name implies, these new snare drums feature the patented Free Floating system that uncouples the drum from its hardware, allowing it to vibrate and resonate fully without constraint.

When you want a 14 x 6.5" snare drum, you're looking for versatility but also for fairly low frequencies that set it apart from 14x5". To meet that, there's no better fit than a 1.2mm phosphor bronze barrel or a maple/mahogany blend.
