MARTIN AUDIO THS Loudspeakers - Triaxial Trapezoid loudspeaker
Three-way, bi-amp, Hybrid Pavilion Trapezoid loudspeaker.
The Hybrid® low-frequency section features a 15" (380mm) driver coupled to a 4" (100mm) voice coil and bass-reflex resonator port to extend low frequencies below the natural cutoff point of the bass driver.
The driver features a water-resistant diaphragm and triple-roller suspension for increased excursion.
The midrange section features a unique device called a 'phase-ball' guaranteeing constant directivity at the horn exit. The 10" (250 mm) midrange driver features an aluminum demodulator ring producing mid-high frequency clarity and reducing distortion.
The high-frequency section features a 1" (25 mm) neodymium compression driver with a 'Kapton' diaphragm for high sensitivity and extended HF performance.
The internal passive mid/high crossover allows these three-way loudspeakers to be used in a bi-amplified configuration, with the Martin Audio iK42 as the recommended amplifier, and the DX range of controllers also compatible.
The THS loudspeaker features three drivers in a compact trapezoidal enclosure.
Thanks to its innovative three-way triaxial configuration, this solution offers a high level of performance compared with comparable 2-way systems. A state-of-the-art solution, the THS incorporates a 15" LF driver with bass reflex loading, a 4" voice coil, a sealed cone and a neodymium magnet structure.
It also features an annular HF radiator (2.5") and a second midrange radiator (4"), both with high-temperature polymer diaphragms. These components are arranged coaxially at the rear of the LF driver and integrated into a 1.4-inch output.
The THS features a configurable rotary horn with 85° (horizontal) and 50° (vertical) dispersion offering optimal control of sound projection.
The THS loudspeaker is made from birch multi-ply and finished in a robust textured paint.
Integrated with numerous threaded inserts, this makes for easy deployment, offering a variety of mounting options both horizontally and vertically. Handles are also present.
Finally, to ensure optimum protection, especially against dust and water ingress, the THS features a steel grille treated with a triple-layer polyester coating.
