In April 2020, MOOER unveiled version 2.0 of the MNRS (MOOER Non-linear Response Sample) engine. At the same time, the brand began collaborating with veteran instrument designer Kenji Wong to develop the GTRS line, the first electric guitars that feature a fully integrated MOOER effects system.

With GTRS, MOOER's goal was to bring the latest audio technology to musicians while paying homage to the guitar: a product that would inherit the beauty of traditional guitars while enjoying the convenience of modern technology.
