EKO ST401-BLK
The ST401 is an electric guitar with timeless vintage lines that have marked every generation of guitarists since the 1950s. It sports a retro look and is built with a very light, resonant paulownia body, combined with an American maple neck and fingerboard.
With its electronics consisting of 3 single pickups controlled by a 5-position selector, its bridge/vibrato block, and its vintage aged-look cover plate, the ST401 presents a versatility that will delight any guitarist beginning his or her musical adventure.
Timeless vintage lines.
The timeless silhouette that inspired the design of the ST401 is no longer in evidence: the characteristic double cutaway guarantees excellent access to the last few cases, combined with three single pickups, a well-known bridge/vibrato block, and its vintage aged-look cover plate. This classic configuration has been taken up by Italian manufacturer Eko to make the ST401 an attractive, ergonomic guitar with a retro look and, above all, great versatility for beginner guitarists.
Lightweight, robust lutherie.
Despite its most affordable price, the ST401's lutherie has received the utmost attention to offer beginner guitarists an attractive, beautifully finished guitar. The body is made from paulownia, a light, robust and resonant wood that provides comfort and beautiful vibrations. The sturdy and comfortable 4-point screw-in neck in American maple is topped by a fingerboard also in varnished maple, bringing even more clarity to your notes and a 50s look.
A versatile configuration.
On the electronics side, the ST401 is equipped with 3 single-coil pickups with a well-known layout, much appreciated for their versatility. Very much at home on clean tones and light saturation, they can also be very biting when combined with powerful distortion. The 5-position selector widens the range of tones offered by the instrument, with three positions (low, middle and high) associated with each of the three pickups, offering clean, powerful sounds, and two intermediate positions wired in parallel for deeper, velvety tones. The vibrato block incorporates independently adjustable bridges to fine-tune the action and harmonics of each string, and a classic vibrato to add a little character to your playing!
Affordable, lightweight, versatile and highly aesthetic with its timeless retro silhouette, the ST401 is the ideal instrument for a fun start on the electric guitar, without breaking the bank.
