Instead, the Gold Digger employs military grade gold contact relays to handle the switching process, ensuring a guaranteed clean signal to the mic without coloration, distortion or artifact of any kind. In terms of connectivity, the Gold Digger features 4 rear panel XLR mic inputs as well as an XLR output to feed the preamp. To eliminate interference between mics, each channel is equipped with a 'radio' type switch to ensure that only one mic is in the audio chain at a time. The external power supply takes care of the LEDs, loads the relays and allows the Gold Digger to generate its own 48V phantom power, which can be switched on or off for each mic as required. To ensure an unbiased comparison between mics, volume compensation controls allow you to adjust each mic level so that they produce the same relative output. Once set up, the Gold Digger, not only improves the 'workflow' and makes the artist more confident with the sound of their voice, resulting in a better overall performance.
