Description
The High/Low inputs let you match impedance to your guitar pickup output level, each input acting as a “linked” input (as on the 1970s Hiwatts modified for Pink Floyd), routing your signal to both the Normal and Brilliant channels to provide a wider variety of tones.
Hiwatt amps were the first “Pedal Amps”: the legendary headroom of these amps won over countless artists to run their pedals into the front without clipping or unwanted distortion, delivering absolute clarity and control.
The effects loops of high-gain amps already have distortion in the amp circuit, so users don’t notice the additional clipping in the loop. For this reason, Hiwatt developed a unique “Hi-Fi” loop that operates completely transparently with their circuits, creating the ultimate pedal platform. Add your effects wherever you like in the signal chain—before or after the EQ—and your pedals have never sounded better.
