Volume limitations in concert halls are pushing guitarists to use increasingly higher preamp gains with lower master levels, overlooking the benefits of distortion and natural compression in the amp stage. With the new Laney GHR series, located halfway between Lionheart amps (rather "classic British") and Ironheart amps (oriented "hi-gain"), find control over this amp stage and mix the amount of preamp distortion with the amount of tube amp distortion as you see fit! When using channel 2, don't think of the OUTPUT control as a general volume but as a way to put more or less strain on the amp section. Then adjust the output level with the VOLUME control!
