And the return of this complete Pearl configuration, discontinued in 2007 to the dismay of cash-strapped musicians, is sure to delight young and old alike. Poplar and mahogany.
When it comes to woods, Pearl has managed to leave the flimsy crate-wood shells of some budget brands in the past, opting instead for a six-ply combination of poplar and mahogany—an obviously winning pairing.
