Description

The 4-inch DCH midrange driver, with its unique hybrid (dome/cone) construction, reproduces critical midrange information with extreme precision. The S-ART folded-ribbon tweeter, handmade in Berlin to ultra-tight tolerances, delivers breathtaking highs while revealing the soundstage in its finest details.

Off-axis accuracy of the mid and high transducers is ensured by waveguides milled from solid aluminum, developed by ADAM Audio: the MPS (midrange) and HPS (high-frequency) propagation systems. This stable, wide dispersion allows multiple users to work simultaneously in the sweet spot, which is often essential in large control rooms.

The custom S Series DSP optimizes crossover filters for linear response across the entire bandwidth, and also provides user EQ options along with calibration and voicing settings tailored to room acoustics. It also manages tweeter protection via a limiter, handles digital signals via the AES3 inputs, and will be compatible with future expansions. Software updates are easily performed via the USB port, which also lets you connect a computer to control DSP functions using a dedicated interface.

Amplification in the S5V relies on three Class D modules:

700 W for the woofer,

300 W for the DCH midrange,

100 W for the S-ART tweeter.
