Like all the woofers in the range, those of the S5H integrate the exclusive SMA (Symmetrical Magnet Assembly) system, ensuring perfectly controlled, distortion-free bass even at high volumes.
Midrange frequencies, so crucial for faithful reproduction, are handled by the new 4-inch hybrid DCH midrange driver, designed exclusively for this series. This innovative transducer combines the acoustic advantages of dome and cone technologies in a novel one-piece unit.
High frequencies are handled by the S-ART tweeter, the latest version of ADAM Audio’s iconic folded ribbon tweeter, now manufactured with even greater precision. Together, these components deliver a powerful, natural, non-fatiguing sound with a soundstage of palpable depth, offering ultra high-definition audio reproduction.
The off-axis responses of the midrange and high-frequency transducers remain highly accurate thanks to the integration of solid aluminum waveguides for the mids (MPS) and highs (HPS). This wide, stable dispersion allows multiple people to work simultaneously within the sweet spot—an essential asset in large control rooms or collaborative production environments.
The custom-developed DSP for the S Series optimizes the crossover filters to ensure a linear response across the entire frequency range, while offering user EQ, acoustic calibration, and voicing functions. It also manages tweeter protection via a limiter, processes AES3 digital signals, and accommodates future expansions. Updates are easily performed via the USB port, which also lets you connect a computer to control DSP functions via a software interface.
Amplification is handled by three independent modules:
700 W (Class D) for the woofers,
300 W (Class D) for the midrange,
100 W (Class D) for the S-ART tweeter.
