The high-performance audio converters offer a dynamic range of 118 dB input and 121 dB output. They have been specially calibrated to provide the best balance of sound quality, dynamics and conversion latency. Red's ultra-low latency completely transforms your workflow. If you're used to handling different mixes (one for input monitoring and overdubs, the other with the sequencer for playback), it's now entirely possible to do your software mix with your sequencer for input levels, headphones, overdubs, and mixing in the same session with all your plug-ins as inserts.
The Red 16Line features 16 D-sub format line inputs, paired with 16 line outputs and 2 main (monitor) outputs. The 2 digitally controlled mic preamps offer up to 63dB of ultra-clean gain, with stereo "link", individual phantom power, high-pass filter, polarity and Air mode, the classic Focusrite ISA Preamp transformer signature sound. With a 2-port Dante card, you'll be able to expand your studio over Ethernet for more channels at higher sample rates, anywhere in your network, with low latency and lower cost.
