Description
Analog modeling
The Nord Lead 4 and now the Nord Lead A1 are equipped with a modeling engine capable of reproducing the characteristics and nuances of your dream vintage synths with extreme precision. With 24 channels of polyphony and 4-part multitimbrality and thanks to its vast sonic palette, the Nord Lead A1 is the ideal choice on stage as well as in the studio.
Ergonomics
The Nord Lead A1 benefits from a new user interface to offer simple and fast programming while remaining ultra-flexible. This interface has been perfected to optimize the work of Pros facing ever increasing time constraints.
One of the main features of the new Nord Lead A1 interface is the oscillator section, where shortcuts to oscillator configurations allow you to create and edit patches much faster than is usually possible for synths of this complexity.
Using a single Lfo and simplified modulation envelope with intuitive controls located on the front panel, it is also very easy and fast to experiment with modulations, while maintaining a full understanding of the patch structure.
Filters
The Nord Lead A1 includes a low-pass, high-pass, and band-pass filter, as well as the new ladder M and ladder TB modelling introduced with the Nord Lead 4.
Effects
The Nord Lead A1 benefits from a separate effects processor for each of the four parts.
Each of the processors offers a delay (offering a choice of analog or digital behavior) a very well-made reverb, and a module that lets you choose between drive, ring modulation, phaser, flanger, ensemble, and chorus. The chorus and ensemble have been modeled after analog synths adding a vintage feel and extra warmth.
Nord know-how
The Nord Lead A1 also incorporates some of the ingredients that have made Nord synths so successful such as morphing via velocity and the modulation wheel, adding exceptional real-time parameter control. There's also an independent arpeggiator per part, a master clock to synchronize the Lfo, delay and arpeggiator, control of Midi information via the built-in USB port and four independent outputs. The Nord Lead A1 is also compatible with the Nord sound manager allowing for sound saving and simplified user memory management.
Like all Nord products, it is handcrafted in Sweden, and very special attention is paid to build quality.
