Description
This product is an extender that allows you to broadcast an unaltered HDMI/DVI signal to 8 different screens, within a radius of up to 100m. For each display, an HDBaseT receiver (Art. No. 38118) is required. It supports HDTV resolutions up to 1080p with color depths of 24/36/48 bits. What's more, it's compatible with 3D, including 1080p 3D format.
It is HDCP 1.4 compliant and supports 4K resolutions 3840x2160p24 and 3840x2160p30. It's also compatible with various audio formats, including LPCM, DTS Digital, DTS HD, Dolby Digital and Dolby True HD.
The unit can be controlled remotely using an infrared remote control. It is designed to work with RJ45 Cat.6 cabling and includes an integrated 2-port 10/100 Ethernet network switch on both transmitter and receiver.
It's quick and easy to install thanks to 'plug and play' technology. It uses HDBaseT Alliance 5Play technology for optimum performance.
Important note: the RJ-45 HDBaseT ports must not be connected to a local network to avoid damaging the extender.
For the HDBaseT connection, always use unshielded UTP cat.5e/6/6a cables. If wall sockets are also used, the cable length between each socket and the HDBaseT device must not exceed 5m. For medium lengths, use AWG24 single-strand installation cable. If a shielded cable is already in use, the shield must be interrupted at both ends using UTP cable or via a double RJ45 UTP female.
