The Slash 3.0 was designed at Slash’s request for Guns N’ Roses’ performance at the Back to the Beginning concert, in tribute to Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath. He needed higher output for his SG®, without sacrificing precision or the authenticity of his tone.

Description
Thanks to Alnico 5 magnets, this new version delivers tighter lows, a more immediate attack, and higher gain, while preserving the transparent character and signature tone unique to Slash. In addition to his SG®, he now uses the 3.0s live on other guitars that benefit from this extra power.


For nearly forty years, Slash has trusted Seymour Duncan pickups to shape the unmistakable sound that defined a generation. From the first Slash model, designed to recreate the legendary tones of Appetite for Destruction, to the more powerful Slash 2.0 set built for stadium performances, his signature humbuckers have become iconic in their own right. As Slash explains: “You get more output, but still the same clarity and honesty in the guitar’s sound. I now have the best of both worlds: my original Slash pickups, which I’ve always used in most of my guitars, and the 2.0 and 3.0 versions for other instruments and situations where you need a bit more power.”
