Slash 3.0 was conceived at Slash’s request for Guns N’ Roses’ performance at the Back to the Beginning concert, paying tribute to Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath. He needed a higher output level for his SG®, without sacrificing the precision or authenticity of his tone.

Description
Thanks to Alnico 5 magnets, this new version delivers tighter lows, a more immediate attack, and higher output, while preserving the transparent character and Slash’s signature sound. In addition to his SG®, he now uses the 3.0 live on other guitars that take advantage of this extra power.


For nearly forty years, Slash has relied on Seymour Duncan pickups to shape the unmistakable sound that defined an entire generation. From the first Slash model, designed to recreate the legendary tones of Appetite for Destruction, to the more powerful Slash 2.0 set engineered for stadium performances, his signature humbuckers have become iconic in their own right. As Slash explains: “You get more output, but still the same clarity and honesty in the guitar’s sound. I now have the best of both worlds: my original Slash pickups, which I’ve always used on most of my guitars, as well as the 2.0 and 3.0 versions for other instruments and other situations where you need a bit more power.”
